Alex Kaplan is a New York City and Northern New Jersey people and event Photographer.
Alex began his professional photography career at the age of 19 when he was hired by Eastside Photography Studio & Lab as a photograph processing lab technician. Five years later, he was the head studio photographer and lab manager.
Alex's great grandfather owned and operated one of the very first photography studio's in Moscow, Russia. His grandmother was a professional photo retoucher, she retouched and colored black and white prints. His father owned and operated multiple photo studios, custom photography labs, and one hour photo's in New York City and Northern New Jersey.
Alex operates out of two photography studios. The main office & studio is located in New Milford, NJ, 07646, Bergen County, 15 minutes from George Washington Bridge. The other on West 30th street, between 6th and 7th ave, two blocks from Penn Station in New York City.
Alex has over 215 professional business recommendations on LinkedIn and over 50 recommendations on WeddingWire, The Knot & Google.
His main goal is to provide you with a pleasurable & painless experience with excellent photography and customer service!
He uses top of the line digital equipment to get the highest resolution possible. He is a member of Professional Photographers of America which keeps him to up date on new techniques and technologies as well as refreshes his classic portrait techniques that have been used by professional photographers for over 100 years, which will make you look your very best. He is a member of National Association of Photoshop Professionals which keeps him sharp with Photoshop and Lightroom software applications so he can fix anything that’s needed or not needed for example blemishes, wrinkles, double chins, whiten teeth, facial thinning and more. He and his staff are fully insured.

My husband and I got married back in January. It actually snowed about 5 inches the day we got married! Anyway, Alex shot our wedding and he was very professional, punctual, a fast! I was a nervous bride because I’m a perfectionist but Alex made me feel at ease. We didn’t even notice he was there most of the time. It was nice to be able relax and be ourselves. We really enjoy looking through the photos because he was able to capture the essence of the day. Our expressions are all caught on camera.

Words cannot describe how beautiful my wedding pictures are and how pleased I was with Alex Kaplan. His eye and artistic sense are incredible. He managed to capture moments and emotion from our day that I will forever treasure. In addition to the stunning photographs, Alex and his assistant were an absolute pleasure to work with. They both showed up an hour early to be sure they would be prepared when it was time to begin shooting. I had asked them specifically to take a great deal of pictures of my nephew and nieces. They were able to catch excellent images of both kids. Alex did a wonderful job of taking all the right pictures, but still blending in and not becoming the focus of the room. Within one week, Alex sent me and email with the link to our web album and we received our disk of the images shortly after. I was able to forward the link to all my friends and they could immediately enjoy the pictures too. I would recommend Alex to anyone who is in the process of planning their weddings, as I truly do feel that they made our wedding even more special that I could have ever imagined.

Alex and Jackie were professional, courteous, and so accommodating! It was great to have a worry-free vendor, everything with Alex was easy and laid back. We even paid in advance in full (which my then finance was worried about) only to be beyond thrilled with the services we received. The pictures are beautiful, they captured moments that we didn’t even realize were happening and the angles and shots are far beyond expectations. Alex and Jackie even managed to work in a flock of wild turkeys that wandered by! The best thing was that most of the time we didn’t even realize we were being photographed, making our pictures candid and real. I completely recommend Alex Kaplan for any photography needs you may have!

Joy M ->, Kristen! We loved our photographer!! Alex has worked a lot of weddings so he really knew what he was doing. He got so many great moments, but you never felt like he was in the way. A lot of people commented on that. Alex was very, very nice and a great communicator leading up to the wedding and during the big day. He got those pics online within 2 weeks!
